April Ross
April Ross is only one of only a handful of beach volleyball players to have won medals more than once at an Olympics. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross in Tokyo to win her third gold medal in the coming days. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic gold medal. With her age of 39, this may be her last opportunity to claim the Olympic gold. She is still confident but she is not sure. Ross stated to NBC Boston that if they are at their absolute best and even play well, she believes the team will be able to win the gold medal. It's also going to be a matter of chance. Ross born in 1982 and lived in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began competing in sports at Newport Harbor High school. Ross played in numerous sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball as well as basketball, track and running. She was definitely an edge over the other players in the latter sport. When she played in her high school volleyball career as per her college profile, she played as an outside-hitter, middle blocker and setter. The results of her efforts were acknowledged in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. In addition, she was awarded the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Although Ross and Klineman are in the spotlight from 2017 onward, the former was already an established player on the beach scene long before their pairing. It's true that she has won numerous events, and one was won by an iconic volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Along together with Kessy Ross, she won an Olympic Title in 2009 while competing on the international circuit. They were awarded a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio to beat for the gold. Ross was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They went on to earn the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. After high school and several years prior to hitting the beach as a professional Ross played for the USC Trojans as a collegiate. Her time at USC was an impressive one. She was a All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year when she was a teen freshman. Additionally, she was a key player in helping the Trojans make the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss in her sophomore, however, she was capable of achieving the All-American distinction. The last two years as a member of the Trojans in the program they won victory by winning successive national titles. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the top female college volleyball player. Ross was who was a USC international relations student, was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross was not able to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball stage. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. Her mother is still dear. In addition, Margie is an ongoing source of inspiration to her on the beach as well as in everyday her daily life.
