Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. The modeling career she began with was in Italy, in which she was born and raised, before being born in California. Her first acting role was in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight her way to a role, she got a chance as "Starship Troopers" the film Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the transition from modeling to acting since model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. They are usually given smaller and unimportant parts. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. After a while Amy made the jump into bigger roles. The film she starred in was the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film became a massive film at the box office and Amy had finally found the success she'd been trying for for more than a decade. There were several major films within the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on the Shameless series.
